Not all that long ago Moriara was a sleepy little village dependent upon fishing for the majority of its income. However with such a pleasant climate, beautiful coastline and local hospitality proving irresistable to holiday makers, the resort has naturally developed while impressively maintaining all of its traditional charms. The town is full of character, effortlessly combining modern shopping and restaurants with old cobbled streets, bodegas (wineries) and traditional fish market. The area has over 80 restaurants, ranging from tasty and reasonably priced pizzas or 'menu del dias' to 3 Michelin Guide star-rated establishments. |
